Message	The topic been discussed countless times on this forum: Patents offer little if any protection to an individual innovator. We don't live in 1850. A patent is one small part of a much larger answer. Without utilizing all the mechanisms of the market, patents are completely useless even under the best of conditions. Companies with enormous budgets innovate. The rest of us are just people sitting in our garage toying with our beloved Z32.
